I recently had a hard drive crash on my Windows XP system. Its the 2nd time it has crashed on the last 6 months. So yesterday I went a bought a new WD 320GB SATA drive to replace it.

I installed XP last night, went to start setting it up and found that Windows was installed on I: drive. I have a stand alone computer with only one hard drive (the new one) and 2 DVD drives. Additionaly I have a bay of card readers (SD, CF, XD, MemStick). When I looked at My Computer all of the card readers and DVD drives were assigned letters higher than the new SATA drive.

I rebooted and went back into the Windows Setup DOS program and it says that Windows is installed on C:. But when I start Windows its on I:. Whats the deal and how do I fix it so that Windows is on C:?
